Sketchdumps

So I don't have the internet. It's OK. Well, I jones for it all the time. I just payed like $5 for a crappy Biggby coffee drink so I can use their internet. I guess one of the good things about not having the internet is that I am drawing more often. Above are some observational sketches I did this year. The first one is Case, my boyfriend, while he was sleeping. The top-right is a girl standing around when I went to the screen printing expo in Indianapolis. The bottom-right is my ex-roomie Ginny while she was driving me and Case home from the beach. I like them! If you click on the thumbnail it'll take you to Deviantart.

I think I uploaded this a while ago, but I just recently scanned it. This was an experiment with Prisma Markers. They are the nicest markers on the planet. I really wish I could afford them. Anyway, I did this a while ago and I still really like it so here it is again.

This here is just a mass of sketches that I've done so far this year and more recently since I do not have the internet. The ones I like best are the one of the woman leaning against the wall and the one of the space-mail girl.

Anyway. Pshoooo. I hope that Case and I can get internet in our new place soon. It would really be the bee's knees.

Chivy

Oooh my lordy loo, I am one stressed-out girl. I have no job, no money, Case and I are moving, I stress-eat so I am gaining weight and then I just stress out about that. Anyway, I've been trying to sell some commissions on Deviantart to make some extra cash. I did a couple pervy that I am kind of embarrassed about, and I can never post them on the internet ever.
Anyway, this picture here is a commission that I am not embarrassed about. Actually, I really like it. It looks kind of anime maybe, the anatomy isn't so hot, the shading is a little cheap, but I just like it.
This is a commission for Daluci from DA, and it's her character Chivy. I never draw guys, so this was a great, challenging time. And I really like it. So. Win win.
Now I just need to sell a bunch more art, stop eating, lose weight, get a job, and have money.

Sym-Bionic Titan

Sym-Bionic Titan is the name of a newwwww show by the guy who made Samurai Jack. I usually try and keep up on animation because I love cartoons, and apparently this was announced a while ago and it slipped under my radar until Cartoon Brew posted about it recently. Well, I'm way excited.
So I did some doodling of the cute girl from the show.
More info and artwork from the show here!

Cowgirl

It is late and I'm tired. I want to learn how to line dance so bad.
Funny story! Kind of. Nnnnno, not really.
This started out as a drawing of the cute guy from Muse, Matt Belamy, for my friend Megan. And then I got that song from Space Channel 5 stuck in my head, Pine's song. (Eastern Venus Space Police!) So then I wanted to draw Pine, and then I started feeling guilty about doing fanart so now it is just some Daisy Duke knock-off cowgirl.
This style was inspired by one of my faaaavorite artists, Shane Glines. Who is similar to one of my other faaaavorite artists, Bruce Timm. I have a type, I guess. Sexy, retro girls with pointy boobs.

Birthday Month

So July 4th was my birthday. I had a tremendous weekend filled with way too much drinking and dancing and singing. On Saturday the third, I and a bunch of my great friends went out for Karaoke. I sang and screamed and was drunk the whole time and I had so much fun. (Don't drink kids, it's not fun.)
Then on the fourth I saw The Last Airbender (lol) with my lovely BFF Carolyn and then Carolyn, my roomie/friend Jackie and I went out for 80's night and I danced until my toe LITERALLY split. I had this big, gross, bleeding blister under my toe and it was gross! But I had a great, magical time.
On July 5th, Case and I went to go visit each of our parents- my mom, his mom, my dad, his dad, and I had some cake and got some Red Robin and that was great.
Since then a lot of other great stuff happened, like swing dancing with Tia-bia, and a lot more great stuff is about to happen, like a bajillion birthdays.
WHICH BRINGS ME TO THE PICTURE OF THE ZEBRA WOMAN AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE.
On Saturday, two of my friends are having birthdays, including beautiful Allison, who drew this magnificent giraffe lady earlier this year so for her biiiirthday, I decided to draw her an accompanying Zebra girl! So! There it is! I have never drawn Anthro anything before so this was way mega hard! But hopefully it will have been worth it!
My pal DJ is also having a birthday on Saturday and I think I am going to draw him The Baroness from G.I. Joe because he loves G.I. Joe and I love The Baroness.
Not only are those two having birthdays coming up but so are 90% of all my other friends. July is a crazy busy month for birthdays around here.
